Teaching at E.D.S
Here at E.D.S I think the most important thing is to enjoy learning and playing the drums - its definitely a feel-good instrument whether you are just playing for fun or doing your grades.
The studio is set up so you can play along to backing tracks or any songs you want to learn at a proper volume. It's nice to let go and play at full volume with out worrying what the neighbours think!
It's also important to understand the dots on the stave - this is your road map so to speak- and it gives you the necessary tools to play the rudiments that all drummers must learn to play the instrument properly. The studio is also set up to record you playing along to your favourite tracks so you can listen back to your recording and get the opportunity to get involved in what its like to cut a track in the recording studio.
We also have a full Vdrum set up to if that’s what you want to play although I think if you want to learn to play properly there’s nothing to beat the raw live sound and feel of an acoustic drum kit which is set up in the drum booth.
